I still love to design items apart from my professional life. I find a deep enjoyment in challenging conventional ideas about what products look like and how aesthetics and materials can be used in other ways to create novel concepts.
The impetus for this project was a nod to an earlier time, where products where made to last - products that get better with use and develop their own personalities through patina. Being that headphones are for transmitting sound, I looked closely to early generation microphones and materials that age well and challenged how they could be implemented.
