Professional skateboarder turned Industrial Designer, currently working in California on top-secret stuff you aint ever heard of. I have my own jewelry brand on the side, and a few other artistic endeavors. I hold a few design patents and a “Best of the Best” Red Dot Award for medical device design.
I was born in Merida, Mexico and spent my childhood between there, the US and Spain. I was a curious kid, with a passion for drawing, chess, Legos, and sneakers. I fully immigrated to the US at the age of 12 and fell in love with skateboarding. Skateboarding taught me about many things, such as quality, style/aesthetics, risk-taking, and failure. I pursued this endeavor to professional heights, then pivoted to design. I submitted a portfolio to California College of the Arts for undergrad and was awarded a full scholarship from the Bernard Osher Foundation. I graduated with high honors and have been working ever since.
As a designer I specialize in mixing critical thinking with cultural relevance. I love all things creative and celebrate the creative process. I have a deep appreciation for honesty in both products and people and keep a diverse network of which that virtue is a requisite. I still ride a skateboard in my free time.
