francis xavier
francis xavier is my jewelry brand. I started to design jewelry as it was something simple to fabricate, i.e., no moving parts, no electronics, etc. This allowed me to manifest my own personal design ethos into things people can wear on their bodies. francis xavier is an expression of austerity.
This jewelry brand start with the idea of rings for couples. The XOXO signature was extrapolated to be represented as a literal X and O ring. From there it was expanded to include other iconic shapes.
The large double knuckle ring, Tough Love, was created as a self-defense ring for women. My first batch was made locally through a water jet process, but eventually I went through a vendor in China to cut cost, better manufacturing methods and increased quality.
